Oregon Coast Fishing and Crabbing

Oregon Coast Fishing & Crabbing at Wheeler on the Bay Lodge

Oregon fishing and crabbing doesn't get any better! Fish and crab in the calm Nehalem Bay waters, or head out for ocean fishing and moor your boat at our dock at the end of the day. Rent a boat and gear right next door at Wheeler Marina.

Enjoy the finest fishing for Chinook and COHO Salmon that are in and out of the bay from June 1 until about the 2nd weekend in November. The Chinook during August runs from 10 pounds up to about 45 pounds. Then the size of the salmon increase up to 60 pounds until the end of the season. There are COHO silvers that run from 9 to 17 pounds.   The Lodge has a 100 foot private dock to moor your boat.

Drop crab pots or rings for the delicious Dungeness crab that are plentiful through out the bay. Oregon crabbing is great fun and crabs go from 5 3/4 to about 7 inches but bigger ones are also found.
